HD Screensaver Download & Transfer Process
The idea behind Screenplaces was to be able to download and transfer your chosen HD screen saver scene seamlessly from your computer to your television without using discs or DVDs. Screenplaces is therefore ideally suited to people who use Apple TV units or media centers either hard wired or wirelessly connected to their televisions, but there are many other ways of transferring Screenplaces.
Here are some of the more common ones we have sourced, but we would welcome feedback from you as to what has worked best for you. Feel free to play around with the files and convert them into the many file types available as they have not been encrypted in any way. We believe you are entitled to use your Screenplace HD screen saver as you wish.
-Apple TV through itunes (saved as an m4v movie)
-PC based Media centers (Windows wmv format) can be downloded as well as Quicktime)
-SD cards, Memory Stick Pro and personal thumb drives. These usually work on an MP2 format which we intend to include as a download soon. In the mean time you will have to convert the Quicktime file into a format your unit can read and plug directly into your Screen or through a DVD recorder(PVR), if these units are equipped with a card slot or USB slot. Card readers will help if you have compatibility problems.
-Portable Hard drives
You could also burn a DVD disc; you may need to run your Screenplace HD screen saver through a DVD making program such as iDVD for Macintosh or Windows Movie Maker for PCs for your DVD player to read it.
Screenplaces HD screensavers can be viewed on all sorts of media including phones and iPods. Just convert, plug and play.
If you like you can use Screenplaces on your computer as an animated Screensaver.
